Having a chat really matters

Having a chat really matters

Today’s Max7 news is all about conversation. It’s all about families and conversation.

How do we talk about life together in a way that is meaningful, and may bring fresh purpose to our family and friends gathering around a meal? One way is to have family devotions. Family Time combines devotions with fun object lessons.

Another is to follow a Bible study with family activities. The 7Ways family times give options for getting out from around the table and put action to faith. These first 2 ideas have been available on Max7 for some time now.

This latest idea that has been shared is for families to face a conversation challenge. To play a simple game called ChatMatters.  Start easy, with the fun questions on BackChat; then roll the dice and choose a topic to speak about, dig deep, and discover more about life together. ChatMatters has a User’s Guide that gives ideas and background to the conversation starter, and the foundational thinking from the Bible about importance of “passing on” beliefs and ideas. 2 sets of artwork have been created for meals with mostly adults and meals with smaller children.

Thank you everyone who has been writing to us to tell us about their ministry work. This week you can pray for families as they disciple the children in them.
