Character - Generosity
In this 90 minute session, we will discover how to develop the character trait of generosity and cultivate joyful and impactful generosity in our lives. God as the source and model of generosity God is the ultimate generous giver. The Bible is filled with examples of God’s generosity. Creation is a gift. God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness. And He gave the greatest gift of His unconditional love and sacrifice for humanity through Jesus Christ.
Our response to God’s generosity Generosity is connected to stewardship and love for God and neighbor. He entrusts us with resources to manage. Our response to God’s generosity is to give as an act of worship and obedience. When we understand how much God has given us, we are filled with joy and a cheerful heart to share what we have received with others.
Expanding our understanding of generosity Generosity extends beyond financial giving. We can be generous with our time and talents, offering forgiveness and compassion, acts of service and hospitality, and much more.
