Wholeness Body and Mind - Physical Wellness

In this 90 minute training session, we will discover why and how to care for our bodies. The Bible shows us that we should use our bodies to honor God and fulfill His purposes. To do that, we need to consider how we eat, are active, and rest.

Eat Well Eating well helps us to take care of our bodies. It is a way to thank God for the gift of our bodies and enjoy what God has given us for food. Being aware of the psychological reasons behind eating allows us to be more conscious of how and why we eat. Eating for leisure and out of stress can be harmful to our bodies. There are multiple foods that can be incorporated into a healthy meal. Eating these foods in the right proportions allows our bodies to function optimally. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 10:31

Be Active Our bodies belong to God. They are holy and should be used to honor Him. Being active can be done through low-impact or high-impact movements. It can be done to build skills or for enjoyment. Being active promotes physical health and emotional health.

Rest Well God’s intention for us is to rest just as He rested on the 7th day. Rest includes physical and spiritual rest. Jesus promises rest for our souls when we come to Him. Exodus 23:12, Matthew 11:28-30
