Wholeness Body and Mind - Relationships

This 90 minute training session reminds us that God is interested in all the elements of wholeness of our lives – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational. In this session, we will discover that our relationships are important to God. The Bible demonstrates healthy relationships. When relationships break down, forgiveness enables restoration.

What are our key relationships? Relationships are a state of being connected. We have relationships with:        God - God created us in His image and likeness. We were first loved by God.        Ourselves - We are valuable to God. This must be foundational in how we see ourselves.        Others - We are called to love our brothers and sisters in Christ, and our neighbors. Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 2:10, 1 Corinthians 12:12–14

How can we have healthy relationships? God desires that we have healthy relationships.        All healthy relationships need love as the core ingredient and motivation        We should love our neighbors as ourselves        Love is practical and is shown by our actions        Healthy relationships demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit. Mark 12:31, John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:19-21; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

How can we fix broken relationships?        God restores us and forgives our sins. We are instructed to forgive others.        Forgiveness mends broken relationships. Forgiveness brings health to both parties. Galatians 5:22-23, Luke 15:11-32, Matthew 18:21-22, Mark 11:25
